This set of photographs was the first photo essay assignment of the class. We had to tell a “story” through our photographs. The word story can be broad. But the photographs have to contain a beginning and an ending. They also had to be look relatable without a doubt. I chose roads as my main focus. I have always wondered what it would be like for others to look at the way I see the world. What would they actually see in comparison. Would they feel my longing for escape. The story I want to tell is based on distance and looking to the distance. I want the story to make the viewer feel like they are going on a voyage away from their familiarities. There are many paths in life, are we really in control of the ones we take. Numerous other paths we meet, do we control the ones we cross. I want the viewer to feel a connection with their own path in life and reminiscence.
